Greetings to all visitors, friends and clients! Welcome to the second post/newsletter

Given the amount of traffic these videos are getting, I think many of you are already aware of our new YouTube playlist "Jeff's Visa Client Stories".

I hear from new and old clients all the time with issues, and I've always taken pride in having a well-informed clientelle. The more you know, the less mistakes you make (and the less headaches for poor Jeff!).

So I take these issues and address them in YouTube short videos (with longer written descriptions) explaining these issues in brief. Each video is only about 1 minute.

So please click and view. And SUBSCRIBE so you get informed immediately of new videos. Usually 2 - 3 per week. And please SHARE with friends and colleagues.

This is a summary of new videos from last week.

Australian Onshore Partner Visa lodged. She is pregnant and homesick for the Philippines!

She's emotional and vulnerable and she misses her mum and all the things that are familiar. So she thinks if she takes a trip back home she will feel better, and can then return to her husband in a few weeks to a month. So you get her a Bridging Visa B so she can travel back for a bit. What could possibly go wrong?

  • She travels back
  • She suddenly finds she can’t travel back to Australia (which is not uncommon due to medical reasons)
  • She gives birth (with no Medicare and maybe questionable treatment)
  • Baby born probably without the father present!
  • Baby is born NOT as an Australian Citizen
  • It takes months to get a passport for baby
  • We need to apply for citizenship by descent for baby .................

No shortcuts to an Australian Partner Visa for Australian/Filipina Couples

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line, and the most straightforward way to get a partner visa is through a partner visa application. Don’t try to be clever! The Department of Home Affairs have seen all the cute tricks and ways to scam them.

Would YOU believe that a girl who worked in SM Department Store suddenly wants to study Social Work in Perth for 8 - 10 times the course cost of studying the same thing in Manila? And what about when you find out she intends to stay with her Australian fiance during the course?

That’s what I mean. It’s a whole lot easier to demonstrate that you have a genuine relationship with an Australian CItizen sponsor when you in fact HAVE a genuine relationship with him! And that means a partner visa application. Why complicate things? And the Department have an immense dislike of visa applicants who are not straight with them.

Who are Down Under Visa? Who is Jeff Harvie?

Jeff Harvie and the Down Under Visa team have been doing this for a lot of years! Down Under Visa have brought thousands of couples to Australia from South East Asia over the years. Mostly from the Philippines, but we help increasing numbers of couples where the visa applicant is from China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. And what this means is we see a lot of success....and we also see failures when people go it alone after talking to their mate, or their relative, or that minimal-care-no-responsibility Facebook group run by Steve and Maribeth based on their own visa application! One application, and they feel qualified to advise others! It's not even LEGAL to do that!
