Don't use AI for an Australian Partner Visa application!

Relying on algorithms like ChatGPT to construct your application is dangerous, and it could cost you your future happiness. In this crucial warning, we expose the reality of using artificial intelligence in the immigration process.
Submitting AI-generated or modified documents, including generic relationship statements, is a massive risk. The Department of Home Affairs explicitly warns applicants against this practice. Submitting misleading information—even by accident—can lead to immediate visa refusal, long-term bans on future applications, and severe legal action.
What an AI chatbot cannot do is substitute nearly 20 years of real-world experience specialized in managing Partner Visas from the Philippines and other Asian countries.

A birthday in Japan
Mila and myself are spending a week in Tokyo. I’ve been to Osaka before, but this is my first time here. My kids love anime, and I was always wondering where they got those ideas from. Well, it seems the young people here actually look like that! So it’s colorful and entertaining to say the least!
And yes, my birthday. I won’t say how old, only that if I had candles on a cake it would set off the fire alarm!

Greetings to all Down Under Visa clients (new, old and pending) from Jeff Harvie and the Down Under Visa team.
I hope all of you saw the video from last week (see link on this page) about how there are NO rational fears of Trump’s war in the Middle East affecting visa applications. NO border closures, and the only visas that have been cancelled have been those issued to Iranian citizens (because they don’t welcome a flood of refugees and/or overstayers who don’t want to return).
Business as usual for Australian visa applications!
Many of our older clients remember COVID. Borders were closed in Australia as well as the Philippines, yet our loving couples never gave up on each other. No one could travel. Many were locked up at home. Many lost jobs. But no one gave up on their relationships and the visa applications continued.
We’re aware that the cost of fuel has had an effect on the Australian economy. Not so much in the Philippines, but Australia is more car-dependent and much of what is consumed has to travel hundreds or thousands of km by road to get around. We do understand and we empathise. If any of you are having difficulties, don’t keep it to yourselves. I’m only an email away!
My personal belief is that this won’t last long. Even he-who-is-never-wrong knows that this is un-winnable and is looking for a way out whilst saving face.
A wise man called Jesus said “Do not be afraid” I think about 70 times. Great words to hang onto, and there is a lot of comfort in prayer for those who do.
