New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Visas are temporary visas designed for temporary stays in Australia by family members of those New Zealand Citizens who arrived in Australia after 26 January 2001 on Subclass 444 Special Category Visas. They are usually applied-for by spouses of these NZ Citizens who are resident of Australia, but can also be used for dependent children.

Please note

They are temporary visas, eligible for 5 years from date of grant
They need to be renewed every 5 years
The visa holder may remain in Australia while the new application is being processed
They allow the visa holder to work and to study, but they do not allow Medicare
