Another Happy Down Under Visa Client
(Despite COVID)
Another Australian Partner Visa granted to an Australian Filipina couple, thanks to the work and skill of Down Under Visa. Jeff Harvie and Down Under Visa are the Number One Registered Migration Agent practice in Philippines, taking care of the needs of Australian Filipina couples for many years. Partner Visas, Tourist Visas and Citizenship applications.
Australian Partner Visa Grant
Many people are under the impression that there are no Australian visas being granted at the moment. No tourist visas. No partner visas. Borders shut down, therefore no one gets in and out.
Well, it’s not quite that!
Yes, if you want a tourist visa from the Philippines for your girlfriend or for your sister, highly unlikely you’ll get it. COVID-based travel bans do exist, however:
That does NOT mean no visas and no travel!
- Partner visa holders can travel to Australia freely
- And genuine spouses (by de facto relationship or by marriage) may also travel to Australia (with a Travel Ban Exemption, which we can help you with)
Every week Down Under Visa clients still get visa grants, as well as grants of travel ban exemptions. Tony was kind enough to make a video for us, which we share with you today. He stresses two points:
- Be patient
- Listen to Jeff!
Yes, most of you do listen to Jeff and most of you are extraordinarily patient in these trying times. Never hurts to have a reminder, especially pointing out that by doing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
We thank Tony for his kindness in sharing his story with everyone, and for giving Down Under Visa a great review. We wish him and his family many happy years together. Mostly we hope that this gives further hope to those of you (Well, it’s ALL of us….including us!) during these trying times. Bring on the vaccines, I say! Let’s see an end to COVID once and for all!
Online Weddings
The fairly-newish Utah State online weddings continue to attract clients. We’ve seen maybe 12 – 15 couples marry online from Utah since January, with all saying it was easy stuff (and no webmarriage.com type of services needed!)
These marriages are legal in the US, and meet the minimal requirements (done with witnesses, done with clear consent and understanding of what’s happening, no underage marriages, no bigamy, and no marrying your sister, etc) to be recognised as valid in Australia.
Marry this way, and you get a Utah marriage certificate. No different to if you had married there in person. And as long as your relationship is otherwise genuine and committed, we can apply for Travel Ban Exemptions as I mentioned above.
