Down Under Visa are there at the coalface of Australian visa applications in Philippines for Australian Filipina couples, but they are also at the cutting edge of technology. Getting help with a visa from Philippines to Australia in Manila or other Filipino cities? It’s a bit rough, to put it bluntly. Most of the people doing it are opportunists with little actual knowledge and even less finesse in dealing with Australian clients. They are generally obsessed with getting you into the office, which is usually far from convenient, and often not that comfortable speaking to Australians. So you may find yourself kept in the dark because they have trouble understanding you.
Not knocking this in itself. All perfectly fine to deal in Tagalog in the Philippines of course, but anyone dealing with Australians should be comfortable speaking with Australians too.
And on the topic of “requirements”, ie. The documents and relationship evidence that’s necessary as backup to a visa application. No two applications are the same, because every client has a different history. And the quality and quantity of these “requirements” would be at least 80% of the work in an Australian visa application. Handing out “standard lists” to everyone, and ladies with folders full of papers lining up at an office somewhere? It works for OFW jobs in Saudi, but not for Australian partner visas….or even tourist visas.
And then there’s the issue of integrity. Only a Registered Migration Agent who is scrutinized by MARA (www.mara.gov.au) can be trusted to do the right thing and to avoid schemes and scams.
We thought it would be helpful….AND fun!….to do a little audio scenario. Full of exaggeration? Actually, not really. This is based on what clients have told us of their experiences over the years.
