There are many reasons to choose Registered Migration Agents Down Under Visa over trying to do an Australian Visa Application yourself, and also why to choose Down Under Visa over getting somebody without the same specific Australian-Filipina-Couple focus that we have. I can think of quite a few, and I’m sure our current and past clients could add considerably to any list that I could come up with. We never get anyone at the end saying “Well, THAT was a waste of money!” The usual comments conclude that it was money well-spent, especially given that you can’t put a price on happiness.

Australia-to-Philippines Visa Specialists

This is what we do. We manage visa applications to bring Filipina girls (and some Filipino men with Aussie fiancées, partners and wives) to Australia to be with their Australian men sponsors. Yes, I’ve done partner visas and tourist visas in the past for applicants from China, UK, South Africa, Singapore, (and another dozen or so countries), but usually I will pass on such enquiries to colleagues as I don’t have the same level of experience with countries other than the Philippines.

The Philippines is my home. Yes, I’m an Aussie Citizen born and bred, and I’m sure when I say “I still call Australia home” I mean it far more than Peter Allen ever did! (“Turn around jackaroo, think I see kangaroo…..”?? Good grief!) But here I am. Coming up to Year 6 since we moved here full time. My wife Mila is Filipina (and an Aussie Citizen), as are my daughters. We are immersed in Philippine-ism day and night. And every one of the many hundreds of applications that go through our office every year is half-Australian and half-Filipino. Every difficult document and every difficult situation is largely Filipino. So we get plenty of exposure and plenty of practice.

What it means is that your situation, whilst it’s likely to be fraught with confusion and potential mistakes to YOU, it is going to be considerably less-so to us! Please heed my words! Whilst you may be great at doing paperwork for Aussie situations, and may have been doing your own tax returns etc for years, you are way out of your depth and could be walking into trouble with your partner visa application without even realizing it.

Uniquely-Filipino Problems

Problems are mostly with Philippines documents and procedures. These are the areas that catch people out all the time, because it’s very very different here to Australia. As an Aussie, your instincts are based on Australian things, so you can and will miss things.

A few typical areas?

Officials: In Australia, we trust officials. You ask the man behind the counter in the Government office, and you expect you can rely on the advice. You also expect that the documents you get will be correct, official and legal. Not always the case here! Advice may be wrong, because they would rather give you wrong advice than to admit they don’t know something. Documents might be anything from clumsily misspelled to downright fraudulent! Sometimes a mistake, and sometimes intentional (ie. due to corruption).

Lawyers (attorneys): Attorneys here will give wrong advice rather than admit that they don’t know something, which applies particularly to matters of Australian migration law. They may suggest fast-track procedures that are illegal and fraudulent, or they may get you to pay for legal proceedings like annulments yet the matter never goes to court. You end up with worthless papers. They are fond of trying to solve everything with affidavits.

Family issues: Don’t get me started!

Australian Partner Visa Specialists

We also do nothing but visas for Australian Filipina couples, including partner visas (aka spouse visas), fiancée visas (aka prospective marriage visas), de facto partner visas, tourist visas for couples, as well as child visas and citizenship by descent applications. No work visas, student visas or visas for wealthy Chinese businessmen with piles of money. Just couples, because we believe in marriage and we like to bring families together. I’m an Aussie married to a Filipina, and that puts me in a unique position.

It also means we do the same applications all day every day, and we know what is needed to make a successful application. We have, I don’t mind saying, a GREAT system here where we can make this the smoothest possible ride for our clients. Information is clear and easily accessible 24/7, and if you still need clarification you only need to ask the experts. Whatever your problem or issue is? Chances are we’ve seen it many times before, and will have helped many a client step over hurdles that you would probably find insurmountable by yourselves.

Worst of all, you may have naively walked right into a hole (such as one caused by a fake document or a statement that you didn’t know would be considered false) and not even known you were doing it. We’ve saved some very smart people from serious mistakes over the years, and will continue to do so. We have Australian lawyers who have had us manage their own visa applications before, because they know our expertise and trust our specialist knowledge.

Life is too short, and you really can’t put a price on happiness. Our fees are reasonable, and we’re a great team to deal with. Complete our free online visa assessment form on our website, and hope we can help you and the love-of-your-life from the Philippines be safely together in Australia soon.
