Hello to one and all. Hope you’re all happy and well, and waiting patiently for Santa etc. Christmas is just a few days away now, and I wish all of you the blessings of the season. I’ve always told my kids that there is nothing on earth that matters more than the people that you love and who love you in return. Yes, we need houses and money in the bank, but without those people in your lives it becomes pretty hollow. So please treat each other well, because those people are your true wealth in this world.

I have a two year old here showing me how cool she looks in sunglasses, and added to the coolness by adding a Barbie doll. She’s sitting under my desk right now, asking Mummy to find her.

The business of Aussie visa applications

I’m checking emails for urgent things, such as visa grants or requests from the Embassy. But for the “Do I need my passport copy certified?” and “Have you received my……?” questions, we’ll get back to those when we return. Last year I’m sure we still kept receiving mountains of emails throughout our break, but this year I thank you all very much for your consideration. We really do need our recharge time and our time with family.

I’m not really working right now. Just sorting through the photos from the staff Christmas party (which I’ll bore you all with here).

You will have come across our staff during your dealings with us. If you’ve applied for an Australian tourist visa, you would have dealt with Julie Ann. She’s been with us for 3 years now, and has been recently promoted to office supervisor. She looks after the administration of tourist visa documents. And you will have come across Jake if he’s pestered you about paperwork being late. The other staff check documents and file things for the partner visa applications etc, basically. They’re a good lot, and they also care about the outcomes of the visa applications they assist in preparing. They have to! They’ve all seen my scary side!
