We ask our clients to complete Questionnaires when they start with Down Under Visa to get their Australian visas. This is where we get the information that we put in your visa applications, and it must be completely correct. This is really important.

Just yesterday we have clients in our office. They already complete the visa questionnaire, and then they ask “Were we supposed to list all the children?”

They had only wrote one child in the questionnaire, but she has three children.

Now maybe with this first visa the Embassy does not notice, but next time when they apply for a partner visa and they include all four kids then they will notice they made a mistake before. Now even if this is an innocent mistake they will still call this a “false statement”. We know they were not trying to do something bad, but the Embassy must follow the law and maybe they could miss out on their visa because of this? Yes it could happen!

So make sure you write down:

  • All of your children
  • Any previous marriages details
  • Any live-in (de facto) relationships details that you had
  • All your overseas travels for the last 10 years
  • All your addresses for the last 10 years

And if you don’t know a particular date for a birthday or travel date or address date then you must tell us that you don’t know. Don’t make guesses.
