Greetings to all, especially to present and past clients of Down Under Visa.
No doubt many of you have seen the various “Current Affair” knuckle-dragging segments on “$100 brides” over the last year? They tell me a sequel to the original rubbish has come out, and I’m going to force myself to watch it shortly.
A positive result of my BLOG posts on this topic was to bring about a contact with a Griffith University film school research student, who is preparing an INTELLIGENT documentary on the topic of Asian/Australian marriages. I explained our side of things, and how we refused an offer to be involved in gutter documentaries. And I explained how we can see that probably 95% of our clients have very genuine relationships based on mutual respect. We are constantly delighted and quite honoured to have the privilege of helping bring so many nice people together and to play our part in the building of families.
Now, my friend the documentary-maker is wanting to interview some of the great couples whom we know and have known. There is opportunity for on-camera interviews, and for off-camera ie. voice-over opportunities, where you can express your views without being on-camera.
So, how about it? How would you like to do your bit to break down the racist stereotypes that feed small minds? Husbands? An opportunity to stand up for the dignity of your wives? Wives? A chance to show the dignity of your culture, and to express what your marriage means to you?
Please email me at downundervisa@gmail.com and I’ll happily put you in touch.
