We get many problems presented to us at Down Under Visa. We could quite respectably walk away and say “Sorry, we can’t help.” But we rarely do. We’re fortunate in that we genuinely LIKE most of our clients (very few exceptions), and we care about the outcomes of applications. Actually even in those rare cases where we find clients difficult-to-like, we still do our best by them. All clients are equally entitled to a professional service, and they get it!
We had some clients recently. She is in Australia on a tourist visa, waiting for her fiancee (prospective marriage) visa to be processed. His house went under water in the recent Brisbane floods of January 2011!
He wrote me a touching email, and explained what a great comfort she had been to him throughout the ordeal, and how much as he knew he needed her before, now he REALLY knew. Her visa was running out at the end of February, and she would have to return because she had a “NO FURTHER STAY” condition on her visa preventing any further applications while she was in Australia. She would have to go back.
Happy to say we successfully applied for a waiver of that condition, due to the compelling and compassionate circumstances surrounding their situation. So she will be staying longer. Yes, a victory for our clients. But also a personal victory for us, because we hate letting clients down.
Our clients present us with many a difficult scenario and many a serious problem. Health problems. Child custody issues. False documents. Annulments. Previous visa application refusals. And we even get squabbling couples who have misunderstood one another. We take them as they come. All legitimate clients are entitled to a fair go, and we do whatever it takes.
