I tend to come down hard on these, and I regularly talk people out of them. They’re not impossible to get. But you need to choose the visa that fits your situation, rather than trying to adjust your situation to suit the visa. Topping-up bank accounts and trying to make it look like the housework you do for a relative in exchange for room and board is somehow a “housekeeper” occupation…..it doesn’t work, because it appears fake.
So, if you have a fiancee you want to be with, don’t ask me about tourist visas. Get the visa that actually suits your situation and circumstances!
If you DO have a genuine intention to visit a friend or family member, and you do not intend working and/or overstaying, then talk to us. If your situation is genuine, we will make an application for you which explains your situation in a way that hopefully the Department will get it.
I am a filipino wishing to visit a friend for a month or less. Is is possible? How will i go about it.
